ABC-7 First Alert – The heat continues; record setting?

El Paso hit 110 Monday, making it the hottest day of the year so far. The last time it was 110 was 2020 - it doesn't happen too often. In fact, we only hit 110 and above 8 times since 1887. The hottest day in El Paso was 114 in 1994.

Temps will continue to be extreme across the area for tomorrow. Highs again reaching 110. The record high for tomorrow is 113. Lots of sunshine with some afternoon clouds building.

Temps begin to cool down later week and weekend with rain chances increasing.
