UTEP Offense ‘Flying High’ At Scrimmage

COURTESY: UTEP – UTEP’s scrimage was a high-flying exhibition for the 300+ fans that showed up at Camp Socorro.

Miner quarterbacks passed for 425 yards, with Jordan Palmer (7-14-1-1) passing for 192 yards and Orlando Cruz (8-16-1-0) going for 127 yards. Both quarterbacks finished the day completing four out of their last six passes.

Although the offense was clicking it wasn’t until the start of the second half before they found the end zone. Palmer connected with Johnnie Lee Higgins (4-109-1) for a 40-yard touchdown. Higgins had 109 yards on four catches and also returned a punt for 66 yards.
