Motorcyclist Dies On Transmountain Road
EL PASO, TX. – A late afternoon wreck on Transmountain road takes the life of a motorcyclist.
Sheriff’s deputies say 19-year-old Gilberto Guzman was speeding and lost control on a curve. Emergency crews add the Mr. Guzman was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene.
Shortly after 4:30pm Thursday afternoon, El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies, El Paso Fire Department personnel and EMS emergency crews were call out to the motorcycle wreck that occurred near the top of the mountain road.
El Paso PD closed the west-bound lanes of the road as investigators and emergency crews worked the accident scene.
This is the 8th traffic fatality for the month of March and the12th overall for the city in 2006.
