Ponding Area Poses Health Concerns

EL PASO, TX- Flooding in an eastside park has health officials warning people to stay out of the water.

Health officials tell ABC-7 a ponding area at Album Park is at 80% capacity.

They say if it keeps raining, the water will have nowhere else to go but into nearby streets and homes.

Plus,officials say the water is full of debris and could possibly be contaminated with dog feces, due to thenearby dog park.

Health officials say it may look like fun, but they urge residents to not play in the water.

They add, that if your child did play in the water, wash their clothes separately due to possible contamination.
