ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Cool and breezy Sunday going into a mostly dry week

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Cool October weather continues across the Borderland Sunday, with breezy east winds expected through the day.

Wind gusts could reach around 30 mph along I-10 and close to 40 mph in parts of Hidalgo and southern Grant Counties. Winds will be strongest along and west of the Divide.

Temperatures trackng to stay cool Sunday and Monday, with lowland highs in the mid-70s to low 80s. Monday looking to remain breezy in western areas, but winds will be lighter in other parts of the region.

Rain chances remain near zero through Tuesday. Some moisture potentially moving in north toward the I-10 corridor Monday and Tuesday, but the overall pattern looking to stay mostly dry.

Tracking temperatures beginning to warm slightly after Monday, with highs getting back closer to average by Wednesday. Winds also looking to become lighter through the middle of the week.
