El Paso District Attorney running to keep his seat in 2024
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso District Attorney Bill Hicks plans to run for the position in the upcoming election in 2024.
His campaign announced a kick-off announcement party scheduled for Thursday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel.
Hicks was appointed to the position by Texas Governor Greg Abbott in December of 2022 after former D.A. Yvonne Rosales resigned.
Former Assistant District Attorney Nancy Casas, former Assistant District Attorney James Montoya, and former Judge Alma Trejo are all running against Hicks, who is the only Republican.
