ABC-7 First Alert: Cooler Temperatures and Winds Today

As we welcome the weekend, brace for a notable drop in temperatures accompanied by persistent breezy winds, prompting an ABC-7 First Alert.

With today's high reaching 54 degrees, nearly 20 degrees cooler than Friday, the winds add an extra chill to the air.

Sunday will see a slight reduction in winds, but high temperatures will linger 5 to 8 degrees below average.

Moving into next week, expect a rebound with high temperatures running a few degrees above average.

By Wednesday and Thursday, an approaching upper-level storm system introduces the possibility of lowland rain showers and light mountain snow.

As we approach the end of the week, temperatures will trend back to average for this time of year.
