UTEP’s Loss To Tulane Is 4th Straight

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – UTEP was looking to snap a three-game losing streak on Saturday, as Coach Mike Price and his team faced Tulane.

ButtheTulane Green Wave took an early lead and stayed ahead of the Miners.

Matt Forte rushed for a pair of touchdowns and Jeremy Williams caught two more to lead Tulane to a 34-19 victory.

Forte, who rushed for 171 yards, became Tulane’s career touchdown leader with 39.UTEP’s Trevor Vittatoe completed 28 of 43 for 308 yards and a touchdown.

Anthony Scelfo completed 7 of 11 for 167 yards and a 43-yard touchdown.

Tulane (3-7) held UTEP (4-6), which had been averaging 43.4 points a game to just 24 points.
