Presidential Candidate Rudy Giuliani Visits El Paso

EL PASO, TX. – Former New York mayor and Republican presidential candidate, Rudy Giuliani was in El Paso for a private fund raiser Monday night.

The private reception was at a west-central El Paso home. Several El Paso businessmen and women hosted the visit, including Adair and Dee Margo and Gayle and Woody Hunt.

After a few minutes inside for pictures, Giuliani came outside to answerABC-7’s questionsabout the war in Iraq:

“You look at what’s going on in Iraq, it’s a stable iraq, one thatwill act asan ally for the United States. In this terrorist war against us, it’s a victory for America, not a victory for Republicans or Democrats. But the reality is, on those very big issues there shouldn’t be any disagreement between us. We’re all Americans,” Giuliani said.

Giuliani’s main opponents for the Republican nomination include former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Arizona Senator John McCain, and former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson.
