Security Guard At Bridge Dies After Assault
EL PASO – Local police investigated on Tuesday an assault that has turned deadly. Officials were called to the Paso Del Norte bridge in Downtown El Paso just after 5:30 p.m. where they discovered a security guard was assault.
The nature of the man’s injuries was not released, but police did confirm the man died after emergency crews took him to Thomason Hospital for treatment.
Police detained a man at the scene for questioning. Officers did not indicate if the man is a suspect or was arrested.
Investigators are asking the public to call with any information on the case. Officials are now reviewing surveillance video to see if the nature of the assault was recorded.
