NM Governor Vetoes Veterans’ Museum In Dona Ana County

SANTA FE (AP) – A proposal for a veterans museum in Dona Ana County has been nixed by Gov. BillRichardson.

The measure stipulated that the museum be built in Dona Ana county.

Richardson says there should be more input on its location.

He says he’ll appoint a task force that includes veterans to determine the best site. But Richardson says the task force will strongly consider Dona Ana County as a site for the museum.

Wednesday was the deadline for acting on bills that were passed in the recent, 30-day legislative session.
