Freeway Shooting Sends One Woman To The Hospital
EL PASO — El Paso police are also investigating a shooting that allegedly took place on the freeway early Saturday morning.
Officials confirmed that a woman, only identified as a 26-year-old Hispanic,wasdriving her car headed west on I-10. Investigators allege an argument started between her and the driver of a white H2 Hummer. The argument escalated and the driver of the Hummer pulled up along side the woman.
The driver pointed a gun and fired at the woman hitting herin theabdomen. Police said the woman was taken to Providence Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Investigators believe the shooting to be motivated by ‘road rage.’ They are asking anyone with information to call El Paso Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477 (TIPS).
