Some El Paso County Residents Are Upset Over New Strip Club
EL PASO COUNTY — Many Canutillo residents are fuming over a new business set to open in late March.
The Pegasus Gentleman’s Club is located at 480 Talbot. That’s about a block away from Aldrete Middle School. It is also surrounded by homes and businesses.
Some residents told KVIA they are worried the club will bring in the wrong crowd and is too close to a school.
The club’s construction manager said they meet all regulations. That means the city doesn’t have the legal authority to keep the club from opening because it is at least 1,000 feet from a school or daycare.
El Paso County Deputy Keith Taggart patrols the neighborhood. He said he understands resident’s concerns, but said if the company is obeying laws there is nothing authorities can do.
Pegasus is set to open March 26.
