Winds Help Flame Fire Near Railroad Tracks
EL PASO, Texas – A fire broke out Tuesday evening near the railroad tracks at Durazno and Frutas, near the US 54 overpass. According to the El Paso Fire Department, the fire started on the rail road ties then moved up a power pole,threatening several nearbybuildings.
Several EPFD units responded, as well as HAZMAT crews.
Strong winds made it hard for crews to get a hold on the blaze. No major damage was reported.
