Canutillo Elementary Students Complete High-Flying Project

EL PASO, Texas – A campus-wide project at Canutillo Elementary school is off the ground, literally.

All grades helped put together a butterfly and hummingbird habitat in the upper valley.

The kindergartners made the hummingbird feeders, while first graders were in charge of cultivating ladybug larvae.

The task for the older students was to learn ways to make the butterflies and hummingbirds thrive in this new environment.

The habitat came together with the help of donations from the community.
