Wanted Man Arrested Along With Parents And Girlfriend

WESTWAY, Texas — A wanted man’s parents and girlfriend were arrested along with him Tuesday when they allegedly helped hide him from sheriff’s deputies.

Sheriff’s officials said 18-year-old Rodolfo Cuellar was wanted on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Cuellar is believed to have been involved in a shooting incident in Westway, Texas,on Jan. 15.

Deputies met with Cuellar’s father, mother and girlfriend at a home in the 1300 block of Malmo in Westway.

They all claimed not to have seen the subject in some time and said he was not home, officials said.

Deputies searched the residence with permission and they heard noises coming from a bedroom. Deputies found the suspect hiding in the bedroom, where he was arrested without incident.

Forty-nine-year-old Jorge Cuellar, 47-year-old Maria Cuellar and a 17-year-old girl were arrested for hindering apprehension or prosecution.
