3 Men Charged In Robberies Near US Consulate In Juarez

JUAREZ — Three menhave beencharged in a string of aggravated robberies near the U.S. Consulate in Juarez, according to the Chihuahua state attorney general’s office.

Investigators believe they are responsible for 20 robberies. The suspects would allegedly rob people from all over Mexico and other countries who came to process documents at the consulate.

The victims would stay in hostels near the old consulate, and when they came out, the suspects would attack them and take wallets, cash and personal documents, officials with the attorney general’s office said.
