Person airlifted after serious crash in Hudspeth County

VAN HORN, Texas (KVIA) -- One person was air evacuated away from a crash just past Van Horn on I-10 westbound in Hudspeth County Monday morning.

A Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson says that the crash involved two semis at 9:40 a.m.

Emergency crews airlifted at least one person out of the area. No other injuries were reported.

Traffic in the westbound lanes was backed up as the service road was used as a relief route.

By 1:15 p.m., the semis were moved to the shoulder and all lanes are now open. Hudspeth county sheriff's deputies and Texas Department of Transportation crews assisted state troopers in the response to the crash.
