Severe flooding shuts down all roads in and out of Roswell, New Mexico

ROSWELL, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Roswell experienced severe flooding early Sunday morning after a storm system moved through the region Saturday night.

An image taken early Sunday courtesy of the city's live cameras showed several inches flooding the streets of Downtown Roswell. Much of that flooding has since cleared, although roads still appear to be slick.

New Mexico State Police posted on X around 1:40 a.m. that "All roads in and out of Roswell, NM are closed due to heavy flooding, at this time."

The NM Roads website shows roads remain closed off. We will update you when they reopen.
