New Concert: Alejandro Fernández coming to El Paso in 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Alejandro Fernández is coming to El Paso for is "De REY a REY" tour, a tribute to his late father, Vicente Fernández.

"The tour is a celebration of the Fernández legacy—music, family, Mexico, and the classic songs that are the soundtrack of Latino life," a spokesperson for the event's organizer, Live Nation, explained.

The tour is being announced alongside Fernández's new single, a cover of his father's beloved song "No Me Se Rajar." The new version will be available on all platforms starting this Thursday at 6 PM MT.

“I was born with two blessings,” said Alejandro. “First, being born Mexican, and second, being born a Fernández. This tribute is not about me; it’s about Mexico, it’s about Vicente Fernández, in my voice and in all of our voices as we sing together the songs that have become a part of our common heritage.”

Fernández is a two-time Grammy winner with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Most recently Alejandro joined over 20 Latin Artists including Tigres del Norte, Maná, Eden Muñoz, Paquita La del Barrio, as the face of the 'Ya Estuvo' campaign. The campaign led by the music industry supporting immigrants and calling for the end of the politcal attacks against Latino immigrants during the 2024 presidential campaign."

The 27-show U.S. run starts May 10, 2025 and concludes September 21, 2025 with Fernández making his stop in El Paso on September 7, 2025. The concert will happen at the Don Haskins Center.

Tickets will become available on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10 AM local time on Ticketmaster.
