Carbon Monoxide Close Call In Central El Paso Home

A woman who lives on Newman Street in central El Paso had to call 911 after she suddenly became nauseated and began struggling to stay awake.

Paramedics gave her oxygen when they arrived.

A heater in her house is to blame. The flame wouldn’t spark, but gas was still coming out, filling her home with poisonous carbon monoxide

This isn’t the only incident involving the deadly gas this week. Last Friday, a family of four went to the hospital with symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

To protect yourself and your family, experts recommend buying a carbon monoxide detector for your home.

They are available for little as $15 at home improvement stores.
