Police: 2 Charged In Northeast With 23 Baggies Of Cocaine
El Paso Police have charged two men with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) early Thursday.
According to police, the investigation revealed that Ivan Ronquillo, of the 5200 block of Charle Ann, was driving a white 1988 Toyota 4 Runner at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, March 17, in the 4700 block of Sun Valley with Jorge Bouche-Robles, of the 10400 block of Prsephone, as a front seat passenger when Ronquillo was stopped for a traffic violation.
Officers allegedly smelled the odor of burning marijuana coming from inside the vehicle as they approached and further investigation revealed the two were allegedly in possession of 23 individual packages of cocaine with a total weight of 13 grams, five baggies of marijuana with a total weight of .48 ounces.
Ronquillo and Robles were placed under arrest for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (cocaine), and Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces. Ronquillo was booked on bonds totaling $16,390.00 and Robles on bonds totaling $16,414.00.
