There’s an old saying: “Everything is bigger in Texas. KVIA reporter Paul Cicala found that out on the road during a recent road trip.

From cajuns and “swampy,” southern influence along the Texas-Louisiana border, to revolutionary landmarks in Houston and San Antonio, to a southwest, border flair in El Paso, the Lone Star state has a history like no other.

Cicala traveled 900 miles on Interstate 10 in 72 hours for 10 stories from more than two dozen counties.
