Update: Missing Las Cruces Teen Returns Home, Police Say

Update: Melissa Uranga, the 15-year-old girl who was reported missing last week, returned home Saturday and is in good condition, according to Las Cruces Police officials.

The Las Cruces Police Department thanks news organizations that helped disseminate information on this missing person case.

Previous Story The Las Cruces Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding 15-year-old Melissa Uranga, who went missing from her Las Cruces home on Wednesday.

Uranga was last seen in the Las Brisas Mobile Home Park at 302 E. Union Ave.

Her family said she may be staying with friends in Las Cruces or El Paso.

Uranga is described as 5 feet 4 inches and weighs about 130 pounds. She has brown hair but recently dyed it blond on top.

Police are urging anyone with information to call police at 575-526-0795.
