High School Softball: Americas Vs Keller

Americas High School played Keller in women’s softball in Odessa, Texas, hoping for its 35th victory of the season.

Americas started with an early 2-0 lead after Adrian Lazcano drove in Kim Gonzales and Maria Olivas.

Lazcano comes around to score for a 3-0 lead.

Keller answered with eight runs by the sixth inning, leading Americas 8-4.

Keller ended up winning 9-4.

Americas coach Justine Payne said she isn’t discouraged.

“We just want to keep a positive mindset. You know, don’t let the stress get to them,” Payne said. “They need to keep playing strong and fight and just do their best game.”
