Two Emergency Plane Landings Sunday At El Paso International
Two planes were forced to make emergency landings at El Paso International Airport Sunday.
Airport officials said the first happened around 11 a.m. when a United Express airliner headed in from Los Angeles blew a front landing gear tire.
The plane was able to land without incident, according to the spokeswoman.
Later in the day, a Southwest Airlines plane on its way from Orlando to Phoenix made an abrupt landing around 4:30 p.m.
A Southwest spokesman told ABC-7 a “fire indicator” light came in the cabin.
No fire was found onboard and the situation was deemed a false alarm, said the spokesman.
