Two Charged In Mt. Carmel Cemetery Vase Thefts

Investigators from the Mission Valley Regional Command have charge a man and a woman with Theft over $1,500.00 on Friday, June 17, 2011.

The investigation revealed that numerous brass vases were stolen from Mt. Carmel Cemetery over the past several months with the latest report made on Saturday, 06-11-2011.

During the ongoing investigation investigators and Mission Valley Patrol officers located Ashley SALAS and Roland LIVAS on Friday, 06-17-2011 in the afternoon hours at 9900 block of Socorro Rd.

SALAS and LIVAS had taken vases earlier that day from Mt. Carmel Cemetery and were responsible for the theft from 06-11-2011.

Both SALAS and LIVAS were charged with Theft over $1,500.00 and Under $20,000.00. They were booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds of $3,500.00 each.
