NWS: Flooding in Doa Ana County possible tonight

The National Weather Service in El Paso issued an urban and arroyo flood advisory for southwestern Doa Ana county until 8:30 p.m.

National Weather Service doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across the advisory area. Doppler radar estimated rainfall rates of one to one-and-a-half inches in 30-45 minutes. Thunderstorms will continue to develop in the advisory area and become more widespread.

Locations impacted include: Kilbourne Hole.

Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor flooding to occur, especially along small streams and near low water crossings.
