Rainshowers Hit The Sun City
The skies opened up over the Sun City Saturday afternoon.
From heavy rains in far east El Paso to the a light sprinkle on the westside, the city finally got a break from the sweltering heat.
What started off as a hot and sunny afternoon, quickly turned into a rainy and cool evening. Residents ABC-7 spoke with did not seem to mind the rain.
“It’s nice, it freshened up the day so it was a good change from the dryness we’ve had, said Monica Rios an employee at Horizon Star Bakery.
Rios told ABC-7 rainy days are good for business because customers take advantage of the cooler temperatures.
“A lot of people like to get their bread and coffee and just relax at home,” said Rios.
Saturday’s cool down was well-needed after three straight days of triple-digit temperatures during the week.
