Snack Bars At Libraries To Shut Down, City Officials Say

Due to economic circumstances, three more cafes that offer coffee and refreshments at El Paso Public Library branches will shut down starting Tuesday, city officials announced.

The libraries are looking for other ways to provide patrons with coffee, soft drinks and other refreshments. Those options will be in place as soon as possible, officials said.

An outside company operated the cafes at the Memorial Park, Ysleta and Jos Cisneros Cielo Vista branches. The cafe at the Main Library ceased operations in May.
