Jennifer Myers

Meteorologist Jennifer Myers was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Like many meteorologists, she grew up with a passion for weather. It was her interest in severe weather that brought a thousand miles across the country to Tornado Alley where she attended the University of Oklahoma.

Jennifer graduated from OU with a B.S. in Meteorology and minors in Mathematics and Journalism and Mass Communication. She was involved with her university?s award winning live newscast OU Nightly for three years as an on-air forecaster. Her last semester with the newscast earned her second place nationally in the weathercaster category in the Broadcast Education Association?s Festival of Media Arts in 2010.

During her time in Oklahoma Jennifer was involved in a wide range of activities. She chased quite a few tornadoes and was also a ballroom dancing instructor.

In her spare time, she enjoys photography (especially taking lightning photos) and spending time with her dog Jackson (who looks just like Toto). She also loves television, movies, and music.

Her mother and father still live in Columbus, while her sister lives in New York City.
