Daniel Marin
Daniel is proud to call himself a homegrown El Pasoan.
A graduate of J.M. Hanks High School, he spent three years in Austin where he attended the University of Texas. Yes, he is also a proud Longhorn.
Daniel’s days in the Lone Star Capital were pretty busy, splitting his free time between film projects and an internship with the Texas Senate.
He graduated in 2004 with a degree in Radio-Television-Film and a minor in government.
In his time at ABC-7, Daniel has covered El Paso County and city politics, elections and border issues. He has also interviewed U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
When he’s not in the newsroom, you can catch Daniel watching and reading even more news. He is also involved in El Paso’s indie rock music scene and has toured the country with his band.
