2 Killed In Saturday Morning Crash In Far East El Paso
Two people are dead after a fiery crash in far east El Paso early Saturday morning, according to the El Paso Police Department.
The crash happened about 2:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Loop 375 and Spur 601.
The El Paso Police Department spokesman Javier Sambrano said that the vehicle was headed east on Liberty Expressway when it veered into a median and slammed into a traffic light pole.
The impact caused the car to go up in flames.
There was a third person in the car who was injured and taken to Del Sol Medical Center.
Sambrano said speed was a factor.
Special traffic investigators were called to the scene. The area was closed for more than six hours Saturday morning before it was eventually reopened.
