Arson Suspected In Central El Paso ‘Beer Depot’ Fire

El Paso fire investigators tell ABC-7 that they think an early morning fire Sunday may be the work of an arsonist.

Emergency crews were dispatched to a business on the 5200 block of Dyer Street around 5:30 a.m. That’s just south of Fred Wilson Avenue in Central El Paso.

ABC-7 found yellow tape marking the entrance to ‘Big Ben’s Beer Depot.’

Fire officials said flames and smoke were visible when fire crews arrived on the scene.

It took 22 firefighters to put out the flames, according to authorities.

Damage is estimated at $20,000. There is no word yet on any suspects.
