ABC-7 Forecast for Wednesday November 30th, 2011
The next two days should be beautiful as high pressure will allow for sunny skies and mild temperatures.
However, Thursday night will begin the transition to a more unsettling weather pattern. A strong cold front will pass by from the east, producing strong winds and colder temperatures.
The first opportunity for precipitation begins Friday. The mountains should see snow while the lowlands, including El Paso and Las Cruces, should get cold rain.
Saturday may get nasty with highs in the 40s with a 30% chance for a rain/snow mix. Bundle up and take the umbrella if you’re heading up to Las Cruces for the NMSU football game, the New Mexico State Championship game, and El Paso for the Celebration of Lights.
Saturday night and Sunday morning appear to be the best days for snow in the Borderland. Snowfall totals will most likely stay under 1-2 inches.
