Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Driver In Far East El Paso

A man was killed in a deadly wreck near Montana Vista, according to a spokeswoman with the El Paso County Sheriff’s office.

The wreck happened at about 2:40 Friday morning. Investigators say the driver of a Ford Mustang was speeding while heading north on Zaragoza.

The driver lost control of the car near the Montana overpass and slammed into a concrete wall. The driver, who the spokeswoman said was “possibly male,” died at the scene. Investigators are looking into whether the driver was the only person in the vehicle.

Investigators found empty beer cans throughout the scene of the wreck and suspect alcohol may have also played a role.
