Police Make 9 DWI Arrests In Less Than 2 Hours

The El Paso Police Department arrested nine people in less than two hours for drunk driving early Saturday morning across the city of El Paso.

The arrests were made between 1:15 a.m. and 2:52 a.m. Saturday.

Of the nine arrests, four people were charges with DWI, three were charge with DWI with a blood alcohol level greater than 0.15, and two were charged with their third or more DWI.

The El Paso Police Department wants to remind area residents that under Texas Law, if a person refuses a Breathalyzer or blood test, officers can apply for a warrant authorizing blood samples to be taken.
