Two More Juarez Police Officers Gunned Down

Two more Juarez municipal police officers were shot and killed as they drove to work about 8 a.m. Friday.

Officials said 35-year-old Adrin Farrera Ruiz and 25-year-old Yadira Monserrat Rodrguez Martnez were on their way to work when they were ambushed by gunmen in south central Juarez. The gunmen fired at least 40 rounds from AK-47 and AR-15 assault rifles into the Honda Accord belonging to one of the officers, killing them both

On Tuesday afternoon, two officers, 45-year-old Hector Rene Martinez and 26-year-old Carlos Daniel Chairez, were attacked as they drove down a street in a personal vehicle owned by one of the officers.

The attackers fired at least 48 shots at the Ford Mustang from a small-caliber gun. Officers said the gunmen then got out and shot the officers at least five times with a 9-millimeter handgun.
