3 UTEP Road Football Games To Be Televised

The UTEP football team’s games at Tulsa, Houston and Southern Miss this fall have all been picked up for television, the Conference USA office announced on Thursday.

Fox Sports Network will carry the Miners’ game at Tulsa on Oct. 11, with kickoff slated for 6 p.m. MT. The Oct. 27 matchup at Houston will be televised on CSS with a 2:15 MT start time, and the Nov. 17 game at Southern Miss will be televised on CBS Sports Network beginning at 6 p.m. MT.

In addition, the kickoff time for UTEP’s season opener versus Oklahoma in the Sun Bowl (Sept. 1) has been moved to 8:30 p.m. MT to accommodate Fox Sports Network.

The 2012 football season marks the second year of an agreement between Conference USA and Fox Sports Media Group for national television rights to a variety of marquee Conference USA events, including a minimum of 20 regular-season football games. Through two dozen owned and affiliated networks, FOX Sports Networks (FSN) programming reaches more than 85 million homes across the country.

This season marks the eighth year of C-USA’s partnership with CBS Sports Network that includes significant national and regional exposure for football, men’s and women’s basketball and other C-USA sports. CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) is the 24-hour cable destination of CBS Sports. Available to more than 99 million homes nationwide, CBS Sports Network covers more than 340 live games annually, showcasing 30 men’s and women’s sports, in addition to a variety of studio shows and original programming.
