EPPD: Man killed by drunk driver in far east El Paso

One man is dead and another found himself in jail after an early morning wreck in far east El Paso.

This incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. Monday morning on the 12500 block of Montana, which is in front of the jail annex. Police say the wreck was caused by an alleged drunk driver who failed a field sobriety test. According to police, that man slammed into the back of a white car heading west on Montana. Two men were inside that white car. Police say the driver was not seriously hurt, but the passenger died at a hospital.
