Three convenience stores robbed overnight

Three convenience stores were robbed overnight, apparently by the same person, police said.

Police called the incidents aggravated robberies, which means a weapon was involved.

The first two robberies happened at 7-Eleven stores, police said.

One occurred early Sunday morning on the 5700 block of Hondo Pass, according to officials.

The second occurred about an hour later, on the 6700 block of Cielo Vista, officials said.

Following those two events in Northeast and East El Paso, police believe the robber went to West El Paso.

There it appears he robbed a third store: the Circle K on Escondido and Resler.

According to police, and what was said over police scanner traffic, the male robber demanded cash andNewportcigarettes at all three locations.
