150 tickets released for The Cure show tonight; there is no opening act

Oct. 10, 2013 update: One hundred and fifty tickets have been released for tonight’s The Cure show at the Don Haskins Center, UTEP’s special events director told ABC-7 just before 1 p.m.

Tickets available online at http://bit.ly/17onNxy until 5 p.m. or unless they sell out before then. If having problems there you can call box office at 915-747-5234 to order or go to the University Ticket Center to buy them.

Show starts at 8 pm, doors open at 7 pm. There is no opening act.

The Cure’s band members, including singer Robert Smith, were spotted in Downtown El Paso Wednesday night. Fans took pictures with Smith, too.

Previous story: Thursday is a big day for music fans of The Cure fans in El Paso and possibly even in neighboring states.

The Cure will perform at the Don Haskins Center – the first time they’ve ever played in El Paso and it is the farthest west they are playing this fall.

If you want to go there are just a few dozen tickets left in the obscured sections that you can buy at the the UTEP Ticket Center, Ticketmaster locations, or online at http://bit.ly/17onNxy

The band has played several festivals this year across the world and only a handful of arena shows. Their arena shows have been between 10 and 15 songs longer than their festival sets.

In Monterey, Mexico on Tuesday, they played 43 songs. Check out that setlist and other recent setlists at http://bit.ly/1bHAE2B
