Wreck in Santa Teresa blamed for power outage

A power outage in parts of the Upper Valley is being blamed on a car wreck that happened outside Santa Teresa High School Wednesday morning.

Numerous Dona Ana County Sheriff’s vehicles were on the scene. However, Border Patrol Agents blocking the road would not allow any media to approach the wreck. At this point, the only entity giving any information is El Paso Electric, which says car hit a power pole and the damage to the vehicle was extensive.
