Fiona Apple arrested for pot at Sierra Blanca checkpoint

Another celebrity has been arrested in Hudspeth County, Texas.

According to TMZ.com, Fiona Apple was arrested on Wednesday when her tour bus made it’s way to the Sierra Blanca checkpoint. The website reports that the 35-year-old singer was arrested for possession of marijuana and is currently being held at Hudspeth County Jail.

Past notable names to be stopped at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint include Snoop Doog, Willie Nelson and Armie Hammer. Hammer is best known for playing the Winklevoss twins in “The Social Network,” and for his supporting role in “J. Edgar.”

Apple recently played a concert in Mesa, Texas. Apple has two tour dates in Texas this week. She is supposed to appear in Austin Thursday night. She has another show scheduled in Houston on Friday night.
