Man killed in northeast bar parking lot identified
Update (June 3, 2025): El Paso Police just identified the person killed in the shooting on Dyer as Damian Arce, 31.
Officials say that officers found Arce suffering from a gunshot would in the parking lot of Chit Chat Bar, located at 4808 Dyer. He died at an area hospital.
Crimes Against Persons detectives are looking into the shooting. Officials say that Arce was involved in an "altercation with another male for unknown reasons." The shooter is believed to have run away afterward.
"Investigators are asking the public to contact police at the non-emergency number, 915-832-4400, or to remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477 if they have any information about this shooting," EPPD officials said.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person was sent to University Medical Center after a shooting in Northeast El Paso early Sunday morning.
Police say it happened on the 4800 block of Dyer St. just before 1 a.m.
Our ABC-7 crews on the scene saw a large police presence surrounding Chit Chat Bar and Lounge, including investigators and gang unit officers.
The EPPD Crimes Against Persons unit is now investigating.
