Teen killed in overnight rollover, family asking for help

A teenageris dead and another manis in the hospital after a rollover in east El Paso early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Gateway East and Hawkins. When we arrived, emergency crews were trying to get two men out of a smashed up SUV. One of them was put in an ambulance and rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The body of the other man was covered with a white sheet.

Making matters worse, a gas line was hit during the wreck and was leaking natural gas. Emergency crews shut off the gas as they tried to get the two men out.

The driverwho waskilled was 19-year-old Erick Gutierrez. His family is asking for help to cover funeral costs. They have an account set up at Chase. The account number is 887792240.
