Woman faces DWI charges after crashing car on levee
A woman has been taken to the hospital after driving her car off a levee between Loop 375 and Del Valle High School.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Monday morning, at the same time a football practice was going on at the high school.
Some of the players who witnessed the crash say she kept hitting the gas but the car was stuck on the side of the embankment. Police at the scene say when they approached the woman, she appeared to be intoxicated. They say she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and will be facing charges for driving while intoxicated.
