Police investigating two Sunday-morning deadly wrecks

Police are investigating two separate deadly wrecks in east El Paso.

A motorcyclist was hit and killed around 1:30 a.m. on I-10 near McCrae. According to witnesses, a small car was driving the wrong way and struck the biker. The car rolled multiple times.

According to police, both the motorcyclist and the driver ofthe car died.

Traffic was shutdown for several hours andmotorists were forced to take Gateway West.

A few hours later, a second deadly wreck occurred near the intersection of Edgemere and Loop 375. ABC-7s ’round the clock news team was there shortly after the wreck at 5 a.m.

The driver of a car hit a median and died. A passenger was also in the vehicle. According to 9-1-1 operators that person was rushed to the hospital.
