Police charge woman in motorcyclist’s death in late September

El Paso Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist in September.

Janae Dixon, of the 4700 block of Sierra Madre, has been charged with Accident Involving Death.

Police say that at around 9:49 p.m. Sept. 28, Dixon was driving a dark colored SUV north on Dyer and when she made a u-turn and travelled into the path of the motorcycle being driven by Errol McKinney. The motorcyclist died from his injuries.

On Oct. 30, Dixon was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a bond of $100,000. Dixon also had numerous outstanding traffic warrants which she was booked on as well.
