YouTube Rants Shed More Light On Jenna Farrey’s Personality

ABC-7 has learned more about the mother of 5-month-old Jackson Farrey, who was found dead on Wednesday in Orogrande, N.M.

Jenna Farrey was in court Wednesday in Delta County, Mich. She waived her extradition hearing, making it easier for El Paso Police to bring her back to El Paso to be jailed.

On Thursday ABC-7 spoke with the owner of an East Side auto shop where she claimed to work and discovered some telling video blogs from her on YouTube.

Before her arrest, 20-year-old Jenna Farrey was a car-loving, drag racing Army wife. She shared her thoughts in profanity-laced rants on YouTube video titled “An Army Wives Blog.”

“Let me just start by saying, I’m a very colorful individual to say the least,” Farrey said in one video blog last summer, just after her second child, Jackson, was born. “I have a lot of personality, more than most, and yes, I’m in the middle of smoking and I don’t want to hear anybody judging me about how bad smoking is for you, because I’ve heard it all before and I don’t care and I’m not stopping.”

The owner of HPS Racing, an automotive shop on the East Side where Farrey claimed she worked in a Facebook post, told ABC-7 she often smoked while she was pregnant with Jackson. But she never worked at his shop.

“She never once worked there, ever,” said the owner, who did not want to give his name. “I have no idea (why she said that. She wanted to work there, but I never hired her to work there.”

He said the Farrey’s did come in often to get their cars worked on. Most recently about three weeks ago. And they were regulars at the El Paso Motorplex, a drag strip in Clint.

“They’d go out there maybe one every two months or so and they would race,” he said. “She would race and the husband would watch the kids.”

In some of the YouTube videos, Farrey talks about racing.

“Let me just get this through,” she says in one video. “If anybody in El Paso sees this, do not try to race me unless you have a car you know you’re gonna win with. I’m not just some little girl who don’t know anything about cars.”

She mentions her children only briefly in the blogs.

“I just had my second baby,” she says in another video. “I have a one year old and a two month old and it is not easy ladies, it is really not. And for those of you who have two kids, you know exactly what the (expletive) I’m talking about.”

She also talks about her distaste for Army life.

“Army wife life is not for people that can’t handle it,” she says. “I’m just going to go straight out there and say it. I thought I loved Army wife life, just don’t, really don’t … Hate me, but it’s who I am.”

The YouTube videos were shot just after Jackson was born. One of the most frightening and profanity-laced video blogs from Farrey shows her threatening whoever allegedly stole her cell phone recently.
